Assistant Production Manager

The Assistant Production Manager acts as a critical link between production staff, quality control, and dispatch, and maintains constant communication with the showroom team to align production with order requirements and product availability, directly contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

·       Assist in planning daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in line with showroom orders and priorities.

·       Monitor production processes and workflow to meet quality, safety, and delivery standards for blinds, curtains, shading solutions, and furniture.

·       Supervise production staff and provide guidance on operational tasks.

·       Coordinate with supervisors to ensure efficient use of manpower, materials, and equipment.

·       Identify production bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.

·       Support the Production Manager in implementing best practices and operational policies.

·       Maintain production records, including daily output, downtime, and resource utilization.

·       Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

·       Step in for the Production Manager during their absence.

·       Facilitate communication between production, quality control, dispatch, logistics, and showroom teams.

·       Monitor production to ensure timely fulfillment of showroom and customer orders.

·       Provide regular updates to the showroom on production progress and product availability.

·       Assist in training and mentoring new production staff.

·       Ensure production meets aesthetic, functional, and quality standards for Vitendi products.

Job Dimensions:

I.            Financial Responsibility:

ü  Assist in optimizing resource usage to reduce waste and production costs.

ü  Monitor adherence to production budgets under the supervision of the Production Manager

II.          Working Conditions:

·       Primarily workshop-based with routine coordination with the showroom.

·       Requires active physical presence for team supervision, production monitoring, and showroom alignment.

·        Regular interaction with production staff, supervisors, QC, logistics, and showroom personnel

Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills).

Academic Qualifications

·       Degree or Diploma in Production/Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.

Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies

·       Certifications in Production Management, Lean Manufacturing, or Operations Management are an advantage

Work experience required.

·       3–5 years of experience in production or manufacturing, preferably with team supervision and workflow management exposure.

·       Experience coordinating production with sales or showroom teams is highly desirable.

·       Experience supporting or supervising production teams and coordinating daily workflows.

·       Demonstrated ability to use computer systems to manage production schedules, track progress, and maintain accurate production records.
