The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with telecom operators, and driving revenue growth in the active and passive infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the telecommunications industry, a deep understanding of active and passive infrastructure components, and the ability to formulate and execute strategic plans.
1. Market Analysis:
● Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential competitors in the telecom infrastructure sector.
● Analyse industry dynamics and regulatory changes to stay informed about market developments.
2. Business Strategy:
● Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
● Formulate and execute plans to expand the company's presence in active and passive telecom infrastructure services.
3. Client Relationship Management:
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at telecom operators.
● Collaborate with clients to understand their infrastructure needs and provide tailored solutions.
4. Sales and Revenue Generation:
● Lead the sales process from prospecting to closure, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
● Develop and negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to meet revenue targets.
● Prepare and timely submit the RFPs & RFQs.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
● Collaborate with internal teams, including technical, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
● Provide feedback to product development teams based on market trends and client needs.
6. Industry Networking:
● Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and network with potential clients.
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
● Proven track record in business development within the telecommunications industry.
● In-depth knowledge of active and passive telecom infrastructure components.
● Strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
● Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
● Good understanding of preparing RFP & RFQ.
● Excellent in MS office skills – Excel, Power point, Word
● Have a 7 years plus experience with a large part within Kenya.
