Job Description/Requirements
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the dispatch of goods to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Supervise and manage dispatch staff, including drivers and loaders.
- Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transport laws.
- Track and record all dispatches using appropriate software/systems.
- Address and resolve delivery issues or customer complaints promptly.
- Liaise with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement efficient route plans to reduce delivery time and costs.
- Maintain accurate logs of inventory movement and delivery documentation.
- Ensure the proper handling and loading of goods to prevent damage.
- Train new dispatch staff and conduct performance evaluations.
- Proven experience as a Dispatch Manager or in a similar logistics/transportation role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with dispatch software and route planning tools.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of transportation regulations and fleet management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
