Job Description/Requirements

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatch Manager to oversee and coordinate the timely dispatch of goods and deliveries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of dispatch personnel, maintaining accurate records, optimizing delivery routes, and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the dispatch of goods to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Supervise and manage dispatch staff, including drivers and loaders.
  • Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transport laws.
  • Track and record all dispatches using appropriate software/systems.
  • Address and resolve delivery issues or customer complaints promptly.
  • Liaise with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement efficient route plans to reduce delivery time and costs.
  • Maintain accurate logs of inventory movement and delivery documentation.
  • Ensure the proper handling and loading of goods to prevent damage.
  • Train new dispatch staff and conduct performance evaluations.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Dispatch Manager or in a similar logistics/transportation role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with dispatch software and route planning tools.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of transportation regulations and fleet management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
