Job summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Truck Dispatcher to support its U.S. freight operations. The successful candidate will coordinate drivers, source and negotiate freight, monitor shipments, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining excellent relationships with brokers, customers, and drivers.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in U.S. truck dispatching or freight brokerage who are comfortable working during U.S. business hours in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and book profitable freight using U.S. load boards such as DAT One and Truckstop.com.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates with brokers and shippers.
- Dispatch trucks and coordinate daily driver schedules.
- Monitor shipments and provide timely updates to customers and brokers.
- Communicate with drivers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Resolve operational challenges, including delays, route changes, and breakdowns.
- Review and verify transportation documents, including Rate Confirmations (RateCons), Bills of Lading (BOLs), and Proofs of Delivery (PODs).
- Maintain accurate load records within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure complete and accurate load documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with freight brokers and customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in U.S. truck dispatching, freight brokerage, or a similar logistics role.
- Demonstrated experience using DAT One, Truckstop.com, or similar U.S. freight load boards.
- Good understanding of FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
- Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as Rose Rocket, McLeod, Samsara, ITS Dispatch, or similar platforms.
- Excellent spoken and written English with strong negotiation and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM EAT.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience dispatching Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, or Power Only freight.
- Experience handling detention, layover, claims, and TONU (Truck Ordered Not Used) cases.
- Existing working relationships with U.S. freight brokers will be an added advantage.
- Experience in both carrier dispatch and freight brokerage operations is desirable.
