Job Summary
The Transport Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring transportation operations to ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective movement of vehicles and cargo.

Key Responsibilities
● Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules and routes.
● Assign vehicles and drivers based on operational needs.
● Monitor vehicle movements and ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
● Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, route changes, and emergencies.
● Maintain accurate transport records, logs, and reports.
● Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
● Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
● Resolve transportation issues such as delays, breakdowns, or customer complaints.
● Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.
● Monitor driver performance and promote adherence to safety procedures.
● Assist in preparing transportation budgets and performance reports.
● Encourage teamwork by listening to colleagues' ideas, recognizing achievements, providing constructive feedback, and supporting staff development.
● Participate in onboarding activities to help new employees integrate successfully into the organization.
● Accurately file, update, and maintain departmental records and documentation while ensuring proper handling of organizational records in line with data privacy requirements.
● Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements
● Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field.
● Minimum of three (3) years progressive experience coordinating and supervising fleet operations.
● Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance management.
● Knowledge of transport regulations, fleet compliance requirements, and road safety standards.
● Proficiency in fleet management systems, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
● Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
● Previous experience in the logistics or transportation industry will be an added advantage.
