Job summary

Top Notch Management Services is a renowned Human Resource Consulting firm based in Nairobi. On behalf of our client, who specializes Solar Systems Installations and Service, we are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Finance Officer to join their team. This is a hands-on role requiring a solid grounding in accounting fundamentals, along with the ability to interpret financial data and advise leadership on financial and stakeholder matters. The successful candidate will own the numbers, ensure financial discipline, follow up on receivables, and provide credible, data-driven guidance to management.

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare, maintain, and review accurate financial records and reports, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness, including budgeting.
2. Manage accounts receivable and payable processes efficiently, including structured follow-up on outstanding customer balances.
3. Prepare Monthly Payroll and file statutory returns (NSSF, SHIF, NITA, etc.)
4. Prepare budget planning, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis, providing clear explanations and insights to management.
5. Monitor day-to-day financial transactions and perform regular reconciliations.
6. Support HR functions, including payroll administration, leave tracking, staff records management, and onboarding documentation.
7. Oversee office administration, including supplies procurement, asset register maintenance, and facilities coordination.
8. Ensure compliance with internal policies, licenses, and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements
1. Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a finance role with hands-on responsibility for accounting and reporting.
2. Professional qualification (CPA Part IV and above) or ACCA equivalent) is required.
3. A bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Admin, or a related field is an added advantage
4. Good communication and organizational skills.
5. Experience in the QuickBooks accounting system and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
