Pulsar Limited provides Design Services, Digital Marketing, Studio and Print Production. We are based in Nairobi, Kenya. We’re currently seeking a skilful and talented graphic designer to join our team. This will be a fulltime job.
Job descriptions & requirements
As a creative agency, an ideal candidate should demonstrate an understanding of design that communicates. The ability to translate design briefs into visually compelling concepts across multiple media platforms including print and digital is a key requirement.
We appreciate a candidate that can capture modern design trends, leverage modern tools and work efficiently using said tools. You’ll be required to demonstrate skills in the following areas:
- Develop and execute creative design concepts for digital campaigns, print materials, branding, and marketing collateral.
- Use supplied assets such as brand guidelines to develop designs that align with clients’ brief.
- Ability to learn and align in production environments including print, photography and videography.
- Assist in creating simple motion graphics and visual elements for video content.
- Staying updated on design trends across markets.
- Alignment in the management and organisation of design files, templates, and project folders for efficient workflow. Ability to collaborate.
- Provide design support for internal branding, pitches, presentations, and agency projects.
Requirements
· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field.
· A strong portfolio showcasing creativity, versatility, and technical skill across different formats.
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro, After Effects); familiarity with Canva, CapCut and other relevant software tools.
· Ability to create high-quality visuals for social media, digital platforms, print materials, and branding assets.
· Collaborative mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
· Receptive to feedback, adaptable to revisions, and committed to continuous improvement.
Assessment
Qualified candidates will undertake a remote standard design task to assess creative design skills (understanding of typography, layout, colour theory, and composition). Shortlisted candidates will undertake a further assessment at our office to assess the same skills.
Salary and Wages:
There will be a six-month probationary period with a starting compensation plan of KES35,000. We’ll offer the short-listed candidate with training support to better align with Pulsar’s working environment.
