Job Summary

Safi Media Marketing Agency is hiring a Social Media Manager who can grow brands with consistent, high-quality content and measurable results. This role requires someone who understands attention, platforms, and audience psychology—then executes with discipline: content planning, publishing, community management, and performance reporting across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.


Job Description

About the Role

You will own social media execution for Safi Media and selected clients. You’ll turn brand goals into a content system: strategy → content calendar → production coordination → publishing → community → insights → iteration.

You’re expected to be organized, fast, creative, and data-aware. If you can consistently ship content, grow engagement, and convert attention into leads, this role fits.


Key Responsibilities

Social Strategy & Content Planning

●       Build social media strategies per client (positioning, content pillars, target audience, tone).

●       Create and manage weekly/monthly content calendars across platforms.

●       Translate campaign goals into content formats: reels, carousels, shorts, stories, lives, posts.

●       Research trends and adapt them to client brands without copying.

Content Production & Publishing

●       Write strong captions and hooks optimized for retention and action.

●       Brief designers/video editors with clear direction (script, structure, CTA, references).

●       Coordinate approvals and ensure on-time publishing.

●       Optimize posting times, hashtags/keywords, and platform-native best practices.

Community & Brand Reputation

●       Manage comments and DMs professionally (engage, qualify, escalate leads).

●       Moderate communities and protect brand image.

●       Build relationships with creators, partners, and pages for collaborations and reposts.

Growth & Performance Tracking

●       Track performance weekly: reach, watch time, saves, shares, engagement rate, clicks, leads.

●       Produce clear reports and insights: what worked, what failed, what we do next.

●       Run simple tests (hooks, formats, lengths, posting frequency) and iterate quickly.

Collaboration

●       Work closely with the Creative Director for visuals and storytelling.

●       Coordinate with the Performance Marketing Specialist to align organic + paid strategy.

●       Support Client Success with communication, timelines, and deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

●       Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field preferred.

●       Certifications in social media marketing, content marketing, or brand strategy are a plus.

Experience

●       Minimum 2+ years managing social media accounts professionally (agency or in-house).

●       Proven ability to grow accounts and/or generate leads through content.

●       Experience managing multiple brands simultaneously is a strong advantage.

●       Experience with cross-border audiences (Africa, North America, Europe) is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

●       Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn algorithms and content formats.

●       Copywriting: hooks, captions, CTAs, simple persuasive writing.

●       Content sense: trends, pacing, storytelling, visuals, what makes people stop scrolling.

●       Analytics literacy: can interpret platform insights and make decisions from data.

●       Tools: Meta Business Suite, TikTok tools, YouTube Studio, Canva; bonus if familiar with CapCut, Adobe, Notion/Trello, Buffer/Later/Hootsuite.

●       Strong organization: content calendars, deadlines, approvals, asset management.

●       High ownership: minimal supervision, consistent output, reliable communication.
