Job Description – Hotel Stock Controller
The Hotel Stock Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels across all hotel departments. This includes receiving and verifying goods, conducting regular stock counts, monitoring usage, and ensuring proper storage and documentation of all supplies. The role involves working closely with the kitchen, bar, procurement, and accounts teams to control costs, prevent wastage, and maintain compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and record deliveries against purchase orders.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
- Manage reorder levels and track stock variances.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical inventory records.
- Support cost control and supplier coordination.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum KCSE Certificate; Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain, Procurement, Storekeeping, or Hospitality preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in a hotel or restaurant environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (IDS, Micros, Opera, or Excel).
- Strong numerical, organizational, and communication skills.
