Imports/Exports Operations Officer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and manage end-to-end customs clearance processes, including documentation, compliance checks, and coordination with relevant authorities.

2. Ensure all operations comply with local laws, international trade regulations, and company standards.

3. Identify and control potential risks throughout the clearance and logistics process.

4. Lead, guide, and support the operations team to achieve performance goals and service excellence.

5. Coordinate effectively with clients, shipping lines, customs officials, and other stakeholders.

6. Optimize operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

7. Prepare and analyze operational reports to support decision-making.

Mandatory Requirements

* Minimum 2 years' experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, or import operations.

* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field is preferred

* Practical knowledge of customs procedures and import/export documentation.

* Understanding of international trade and logistics processes.

* Experience with customs systems and documentation.

* Strong knowledge and experience in Export Documentation and Import Export operations

* Expertise in International Business and navigating global trade regulations

* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

* Familiarity with East African trade regulations and cross-border logistics is a plus
