Job summary
The Supply Chain/Logistics/Customs Manager will oversee supply chain, logistics and customs operations in Uganda, ensuring efficient movement of goods, accurate documentation, regulatory compliance and cost control. The role will coordinate logistics activities, customs processes, inventory movement and supplier or transporter relationships.

Role Objective
Manage supply chain, logistics and customs activities to ensure efficient, compliant and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining accurate documentation and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain operations from sourcing through delivery.
- Manage customs documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate transportation, shipment planning and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory movement and ensure accurate logistics records.
- Liaise with customs authorities, clearing agents, suppliers and transporters.
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
- Resolve shipment, customs and delivery issues and provide management reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Customs or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and customs processes.
- Experience coordinating suppliers, transporters and clearing agents.
- Strong documentation, analytical and negotiation skills.
- FMCG or distribution experience would be an advantage.
Salary
Monthly salary: UGX 9,000,000, equivalent to approximately USD 2,417 based on the current exchange rate.
