Job Title: Investment Analyst
Location: Nairobi
Role Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly motivated Investment Analyst to join our investment team at Lofty-Corban Investments Limited.
The Investment Analyst will be responsible for conducting deep-dive fundamental research, analyse market trends, economic indicators, build financial models, and providing actionable investment recommendations that drive our investment strategy.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial markets, and the ability to provide insightful recommendations to drive the investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Financial Modeling & Valuation: Building and maintaining financial models to estimate the value of companies, stocks, and other assets.
  
• Research & Data Collection: Gathering data from company financial statements, industry reports, and specialized terminals like Bloomberg for analysis
  
• Market Monitoring: Tracking global economic trends, political developments, and regulatory changes to identify investment opportunities and assess the potential impact on investment performance.
  
• Report Generation: Drafting in-depth research reports and presentation materials that summarize findings and provide clear buy, sell, or hold recommendations.
  
• Portfolio management Support: Assisting in the construction, periodic rebalancing, performance tracking and providing regular updates on news that may impact investment thesis of investment portfolios based on risk tolerance and client goals.
  
• Stakeholder Interaction: Meeting with company management, investor relations teams, and industry experts to gain qualitative insights into business prospects.
  

Key Skills and Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
  
• Progress toward or completion of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation is highly preferred.
  
• At least 2 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or asset management.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial databases; Strong Understanding of Accounting standards and financial statements.
  
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  
• Experience with advanced financial modelling and data analysis tools (Python, SQL).
  
• Knowledge of equity, fixed-income, and alternative investment products.
  
• Experience with portfolio management systems and investment platforms.
  
• Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and their impact on investment strategies.
  
• Familiarity with global markets and macroeconomic indicators
