VACANCY - JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT
- Record all transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments) accurately.
- Maintain a clean, auditready general ledger.
- Organise source documents for easy reference.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) under IFRS as adopted in Kenya.
- Generate management reports with variance analysis, trend analysis, and key metrics.
- Reconcile all bank accounts weekly/monthly – identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure QuickBooks ledger matches bank statements exactly.
- Set up chart of accounts, classes/locations, and recurring transactions.
- Automate bank feeds, troubleshoot mismatches, and generate custom financial reports.
- Handle statutory returns File NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy via iTax.
- Compute and assist with returns.
- Ensure tax compliance: VAT, PAYE, instalment taxes corporation tax
- 2+ years of handson experience in accounting
- CPA-K (at least Section 3; full CPA-K preferred).
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial formulas).
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- High Integrity

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks
- Prior work experience
- Familiarity with iTax portal, E-tims, efiling etc.
- Good understanding of Kenyan tax laws (VAT, PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, Corporation Tax).
- KES 30,000 per month
- Clear path to Senior Accountant within 2 years.
