Our client is a startup hotel located in Juja focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences with a modern approach. We're building from the ground up and looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Steward to join our culinary team.
Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
- Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment
- Organize and store clean dishes and equipment
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables properly
- Maintain sanitation and hygiene standards
- Support chefs and kitchen staff as needed
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines
- Operate dishwashing machines and cleaning tools
Requirements
- High school certificate or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a kitchen cleaning role is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
Salary: Kes. 13,000- Kes. 15,000. Availability: Immediately
