Position: Veterinarian – Team Leader (Small Animal Practice)
Reporting to: Operations manager and Clinical Head
Type: Full-time


We are a busy, well-established small animal veterinary clinic in Westlands seeking an experienced Veterinarian Team Leader to strengthen our clinical team and help drive high standards of patient care and teamwork.


Key Responsibilities

· Lead day-to-day clinical activities of the veterinary team

· Diagnose, treat, and manage medical and surgical cases

· Develop and oversee treatment plans for patients

· Perform routine and intermediate surgical procedures

· Support and mentor junior veterinarians and support staff

· Coordinate vet scheduling, duty rosters, and emergency coverage to ensure 24 hours veterinary care availability.

· Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients

· Maintain accurate medical records and clinical standards

· Support clinic KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Requirements

· Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) or equivalent

· Registered with the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB)

· 4+ years hands-on experience in small animal clinical practice

· Strong diagnostic, surgical, and case management skills

· Proven leadership and teamwork ability

· Excellent client communication and people skills

· Compassionate, ethical, and patient-focused approach

· Ability to drive

· Experience handling emergencies independently

· Exposure to clinic operations or staff supervision
