3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Pediatric Nursing Care
- Deliver direct nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Monitor growth, development, and overall health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist
pediatricians during clinical procedures.
B. Immunization & Preventive Care
- Administer vaccines according to national immunization schedules.
- Educate parents on vaccine importance, side effects, and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate immunization records and reporting.
- Participate
in community outreach and vaccination campaigns.
C. Patient & Family Support
- Provide counseling and health education to families.
- Offer emotional support to children during treatment.
- Guide parents on nutrition, hygiene, and child development.
- Handle
patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
D. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain organized patient records and nursing notes.
- Prepare immunization and pediatric care reports.
- Ensure compliance with private healthcare documentation standards.
- Support audits and quality assurance processes.
E. Delivery Governance & Process Improvement
- Adhere to structured clinical and nursing protocols.
- Track pediatric health indicators and immunization coverage.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Contribute
to continuous improvement initiatives in child health.
F. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with pediatricians, medical officers, and other nurses.
- Coordinate with pharmacists and support staff for holistic care.
- Align
clinical practices with private healthcare delivery standards.
4. QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Diploma in Nursing with pediatric specialization.
- Registered Nurse with valid practicing license.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in pediatric nursing, including immunization programs.
- Experience
in private healthcare facilities is highly preferred.
