To ensure maximum equipment uptime, efficient utility operations, and cost-effective maintenance practices that support continuous production in a high-volume FMCG environment.
Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance Management
● Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
● Oversee breakdown maintenance to minimize production downtime.
● Ensure all machinery and equipment are operating efficiently and safely.
● Maintain maintenance records, logs, and KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, etc.).
● Lead root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures.
2. Utilities Management
● Manage utilities such as:
❖ Boilers and steam systems
❖ Water treatment and supply
❖ Compressed air systems
❖ HVAC and refrigeration systems
❖ Power generation and distribution
● Ensure uninterrupted supply of utilities to production.
● Monitor and optimize energy and water consumption.
3. Compliance & Safety
● Ensure compliance with:
❖ Health & Safety regulations
❖ Environmental standards
❖ Food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP)
● Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
● 5–10+ years of experience in maintenance within FMCG or manufacturing.
● Proven experience managing utilities and large teams.
● Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
● Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment and utilities
● Leadership and team management
● Problem-solving and analytical thinking
● Budgeting and cost control
● Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
● Understanding of automation and PLC systems is an advantage
