Modern Designs International is a company that focuses its activity in designing African dresses for every one and for every desired occasion. Over the past 5 years the industry has served more than 8000 clients desiring to be tailored made for. The Company cultivates a unique way of creating iconic identities 1) in harnessing the love and attraction for African apparel. 2) Promote the culture and heritage of the African cultures and boost the awareness to embracing the rich heritage of the Africa Apparel. We are looking for a competent designer tailor(s) for all our Clothing Designs for its Clients in African Fabrics and other Fabrics.

Tailor Made Designs for clients in; African Traditional Weddings gowns, Western Wedding Gowns, Traditional Wedding Ceremony, Women’s dresses/official casual/semi-casual, Baby Showers, Gender Reveal, Men’s African Suits, Men’s Shirts/short/casuals, Couple’s Suits and Matching Couple’s Designs, Children Clothing Designs. We use any fabric for our designs and as desired by our clients.

Responsibilities

• Designing and sewing garments according to production needs

• Tailoring

• Operate sewing machines

• Assemble garment parts and join parts with basting stitches, using needles and thread or sewing machines

• Fit, alter, repair, and make made-to-measure clothing, according to customers’ and clothing manufacturers’ specifications and fit, and apply principles of garment design, construction, and styling.

• Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs

Requirements:

• Certificate or Diploma in Tailoring/Dressmaking

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tailoring

• Must have experience in African Designs

• Trustworthy and Passionate about their work

• Excellent communication and listening skills

• Ability to maintain favorable relations with fellow employees

• Must be able to communicate in ENGLISH Language
