Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Location: Kiambu, Kenya
Salary: Ksh 250,000
Experience: 5–7 years
Key Responsibilities
* Approve and oversee all purchase orders.
* Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and company policies.
* Identify and negotiate with suppliers for best contract terms.
* Plan and schedule deliveries of critical goods.
* Maintain effective supplier communication for timely delivery.
* Keep an updated contract schedule and initiate tenders before expiry.
* Monitor market and price trends to identify sourcing opportunities.
* Conduct price-cost analysis and manage supplier evaluation.
* Track imports and ensure timely clearance of shipments.
* Resolve supplier disputes in collaboration with Accounts Payable.
* Monitor and enforce supplier compliance with audit and SLA requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Master’s degree in Purchasing & Supplies Management.
* Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing & Supplies, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
* Professional Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management.
* Experience with automated eProcurement systems is an added advantage.
* Strong ethics, integrity, and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and collaborate across departments.
