Job Summary
Surelift Solutions Limited, on behalf of our client in the hospitality industry, is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Restaurant Cashier to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate transaction records, providing excellent customer service, and supporting basic stock management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process customer payments accurately using cash, mobile money, POS systems, and other payment methods.
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of daily transactions.
- Balance cash registers and prepare end-of-shift reports.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
- Support basic stock monitoring and inventory recording.
- Assist in tracking stock movements and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station.
- Ensure compliance with company cash-handling procedures and policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related business field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Cashier in a restaurant, hotel, café, or similar hospitality establishment.
- Basic knowledge of stock management and inventory control.
- Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong numerical and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
