Job Description/Requirements
WE ARE HIRING! SCHOOL COUNSELOR.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and group counselling to support students’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and academic success.
• Identify students’ social-emotional needs and develop targeted intervention strategies.
• Support positive discipline structures and contribute to a safe, nurturing school environment.
• Conduct guidance sessions, mentorship programs, and psychosocial support activities.
• Work closely with teachers and parents to promote holistic child development.
• Maintain confidential and professional counselling records.
• Support child protection efforts and ensure adherence to safeguarding policies.
Qualifications & Skills
• Degree in Counselling Psychology, Psychology, Guidance & Counselling, or related field.
• Registered and licensed with a recognized professional body (KCPA/KPCA or equivalent).
• Experience working with children in a school setting is an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, professionalism, and excellent communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
