Technical Operators Trainees

The company is currently seeking to recruit a technical operators trainees to be part of the team in the manufacturing plant in Nairobi that will deliver the set production goals and the overall company objectives.

The Technical Operators Trainees will be responsible for operating, optimizing and maintenance of the Blow Molding and Filler machines in the bottling plant after undergoing in-house training. The role holders will also be responsible for the routine operational filling line functions.

a)     Operates all filling line and Blow molder machines functions using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to consistently produce a high-quality product in a  timely manner.

b)     Meet performance targets for blow molding or filling machines

c)      Monitor and adjust bottle processes to optimize bottle quality and correct defects, including the completion of hourly quality checks

d)     Manage bottle silo level, merge/dump gate setup, and blower speeds

e)     Work with the Technicians & Mechanics to execute pre-form and molder  changeovers

f)      Properly fills container by weight as appropriate and monitors quality appearance of containers.

g)      Responsible for accurate count of fill by weight, quality aspects such as neck, weak spots and leak checks as appropriate and monitors quality appearance and input data into terminal for inventory control.

h)    Diagnose causes of mechanical malfunctions of filling and Blow molder equipment, performs corrective maintenance and recommend corrective actions to minimize rate of product defects.

i)      Monitoring and recording all machine functions: temperatures, pressures and speeds.

j)      Checks that product information on container and lid is in accordance for correct product.

k)    Follow and comply to the company Safety and Environmental regulatory guidelines to ensure the safety of self and others

l)     Comply with sanitation standards, adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintain a clean and organized work area

· Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant related fields of study from a recognized institution.

· Have excellent knowledge of mechanical equipment and the ability to diagnose and correct equipment malfunction.

· Have excellent knowledge of basic machinery preventive maintenance and repair.
