Job Summary
The Technical Stores Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient management of the technical stores within the can manufacturing plant, ensuring availability of spare parts, consumables, and materials to support uninterrupted production operations. The role will oversee inventory management, stock accuracy, procurement support, compliance with safety standards, and system transactions in SAP.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
· Inventory Management
o Supervise all technical stores operations, including receiving, issuing, and storage of spares and consumables.
o Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP, ensuring real-time stock visibility.
o Implement stock control measures to minimize stock-outs, excess, and obsolescence.
o Conduct regular cycle counts and support annual stock takes.
· System & Process Management
o Ensure all transactions (GRN, issue, transfer, return, adjustments) are properly captured in SAP.
o Generate and analyze SAP reports to track stock movement, reorder levels, and slow/non-moving items.
o Work closely with procurement to maintain optimal stock levels and timely replenishment.
· Compliance & Safety
o Ensure stores operations comply with company policies, audit requirements, and safety standards.
o Maintain proper housekeeping, labeling, and binning for easy identification and retrieval of items.
o Enforce adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards within stores operations.
· People Management
o Supervise, train, and coach store clerks and assistants on best practices.
o Allocate tasks and monitor team performance for efficiency and accuracy.
· Continuous Improvement
o Identify opportunities to optimize stores processes and reduce costs.
o Support maintenance and production teams by ensuring fast and accurate response to technical material requests.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
· Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in technical stores/warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial plant.
· Hands-on experience with SAP (MM module) is mandatory.
· Strong knowledge of spare parts management, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) materials, and procurement processes.
· Familiarity with engineering/technical items used in manufacturing environments.
Skills & Competencies
· Excellent SAP proficiency (inventory management, reporting, and transactions).
· Strong organizational and analytical skills.
· Good leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Ability to work under pressure and deliver within strict timelines.
· Knowledge of HSE standards applicable to stores operations.

· Inventory accuracy and variance levels.
· Stock availability vs. stock-out frequency.
· SAP transaction accuracy and timeliness.
· Compliance with HSE and audit requirements.
