Purpose:
- To support surgical teams by preparing, maintaining, and operating theatre equipment and instruments, ensuring cleanliness, sterility, and safe use of resources during surgical procedures.
- The Theatre Technician plays a critical role in maintaining patient safety, infection control, and operational efficiency within the theatre.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in theatre technician from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 or more years' experience and one MUST be in theatre.
· Copy of national identification document(ID/Passport)
Skills & competencies required:
· Excellent clinical skills
· Required to be team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment, displaying resilience, compassion and diplomacy
· Active team player with good interpersonal skills
· Good analytical skills
· Self-initiative
· Ability to work under minimum supervision
· Proficient computer skills for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with the medical team and patient interaction.
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize workload.
