DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Village Administrator shall coordinate, manage and supervise the general administrative function in the Village including: -
i.    Chair the Village Council.
ii.    Ensure and co-ordinate the participation of the Village Unit in governance.
iii.    Supervise development activities at the Village level.
iv.    Monitor the implementation of policies at the Village level.
v.    Advise the Ward Administrator and Sub County Administrator on matters pertaining the Village.
vi.    Spearhead peace initiatives, Community Cohesion and Integration at the Village level.
vii.    Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Ward Administrator.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to the Position of Village Administrator, an Applicant should: -
i.    Be a Kenyan Citizen.
ii.    Be Holder of a Professional Qualifications and Technical knowledge in Administration.
iii.    Have knowledge, experience and distinguished Career of not less than three (3) years in Administration.
iv.     Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and Integrity.
a)  Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation
b) Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
c)  Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
d) Clearance from the Ethics &Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
e)  Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
