Job Title:Warehouse Manager - Consumer Electronics
Location: Nairobi
1. Inventory Management
- Prepare and oversee annual stock count
- Support external and internal auditors during stock takes within stipulated timelines
- Ensure all stocks are correctly binned for proper daily warehouse operations
- Minimise losses
- Prepare and oversee Financial Health Check as per HQ guidelines
- Reconcile and report stock take results
2. Cycle Counts
- Prepare and cordinate weekly cycle counts
- Investigate losses and report on improvement plan
- Ensure system updates are done before quartely stock counts
3. Logistics
- Track all shipments from vendors and ensure any delay is reported.
- Support vendors on any documents needed for ease of clearing process
- Facilitate on the local customs clearing process
- Timely processing of taxes
- Manage local logistics companies for smooth collection of parcels and secure early delivery
- Oversee reverse logistics for any parcels that need to be collected and delivered back"
4. Monthly closing
- Support finance department on inventory transactions on the cut off day
- Communicate to all ASC's for timely ordering of parts and goods issue process
- Timely posting of vendor invoices before the cutoff date"
5. Warehouse Reporting/Adminstration
- Share daily sales reports to the management
- Report on partners on credit blocks
- Manage warehouse assets
- Monitor security and report on any incident
- Utilities and consumables management
- Licences renewal/processing and ensuring that they are up to date
6. Order Cancellations / Parts ETA inquiry / ASC VOC
- Timely processing of ASC order cancellations
- Respond to ASC parts ETA enquiries
- Answer to any ASC VOC issue on parts"
7. GR/GI
- Ensure all Open Delivery orders are completed same day.
> Order consolidation, confirmation & subsequent system update
> Timely update of POD's (Proof of delivery) to achieve 95% PAR (D+3)(Parts Arrival Ratio)
> Timely scanning & sharing of Delivery Notes to ASC's
- For GR shipment delivered should be cleared by the next day considering nature and size of shipment to avoid BO's"
Requirements:
• Bachelor in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Warehouse Management, or a related field. A Masters degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in warehouse, inventory, and logistics management within the consumer electronics industry, including at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role leading warehouse operations and teams.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP ERP, with hands-on experience in inventory management, Goods Receipt (GR), Goods Issue (GI), stock reconciliation, monthly closing, warehouse reporting, and logistics transactions. Experience with WMS is an added advantage.
• Proven expertise in warehouse operations, inventory control, cycle counts, stock takes, reverse logistics, customs clearance coordination, vendor management, and distribution planning, with a strong focus on inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage warehouse teams, coordinate with logistics providers, finance, service centers, and other stakeholders while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).
