Job Summary
Our client is an agroecological farm on the west shore of Lake Naivasha (35km from Naivasha town). They are a family business growing over 100 different fruits, herbs and vegetables. They also have a herd of jersey cows, horses, chickens, fish and soon to have goats and sheep. They are looking to hire a recent graduate in agriculture for an Assistant Farm Manager position in their farm in Naivasha.

Job Description/Requirements
Job Title: Assistant Farm Manager
Location: Naivasha, Organic Farm
Key Responsibilities:
● Manage a team of people growing crops in the farm and looking after livestock
● Keep detailed crop production and livestock reports
● Oversee crop production from seed to harvest
● Ensure the livestock is well looked after and productive
● Report to the crop production manager and CEO
● Oversee that the irrigation system is working
Qualifications:
● A minimum score of 2.1. degree in agriculture
● KCSE mean grade B or higher
● 1-5 years experience in agriculture
Personal Attributes:
● Self-motivated
● Willing to live in Naivasha near Ecoscapes farm
● Team player
● Good at managing people
● Interest in organic farming
● Experience with working with livestock
● Experience with growing crops
● Proactive
● Enjoy working outdoors
● Experience with drip irrigation systems
