About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Business Development Officer – China to support our expansion across Asian markets. The ideal candidate will bring strong networks within the fintech, financial services, or payments ecosystem, along with the ability to identify opportunities, drive growth initiatives, and build meaningful client and partner relationships across the region.
This is a high-impact role where you will play a key part in shaping our Asia strategy and strengthening our presence across regional corridors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across the Asian fintech and cross-border payments ecosystem.
- Engage prospective clients to understand their needs and recommend tailored financial and payment solutions.
- Support the development of proposals, agreements, and commercial documents.
Partnership Development
- Assist in establishing and managing partnerships with banks, fintech firms, PSPs, and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Support market expansion strategies aimed at increasing brand presence and revenue growth.
- Represent the company at conferences, trade events, industry forums, and client meetings.
Market Insights & Strategic Support
- Provide actionable insights on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and sales collateral for internal and external audiences.
- Track and manage leads in the CRM while ensuring timely follow-ups and pipeline updates.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Technology, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
- Support onboarding of new clients and partners, ensuring a smooth transition into operational workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles.
- Experience within fintech, financial services, or cross-border payments is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of Asian markets with established networks in relevant industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, or other Asian languages is a strong advantage.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-growth environment.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
