DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Property Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Supervise daily cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a clean and orderly environment.
- Monitor the condition of the building, equipment, and facilities, and report or coordinate repairs promptly.
- Ensure that all common areas (corridors, lobbies, staircases, washrooms, etc.) are well-maintained.
Tenant Relations & Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for tenants regarding facility-related issues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to tenant inquiries and complaints.
- Coordinate with the property management team to resolve tenant concerns effectively.
Supervision of Service Providers
- Oversee and coordinate the work of third-party service providers (e.g., cleaners, security, electricians, plumbers).
- Ensure that contractors follow proper procedures and safety standards.
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify safety risks or hazards.
- Ensure all fire safety, emergency, and security protocols are being followed.
- Report incidents, accidents, or security issues to the appropriate authorities or management.
Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain logs for maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and tenant issues.
- Provide regular reports on the condition of the property and any issues that require management attention.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Property Management, Facilities Management, Maintenance, or a related field
- 3–4 years in property or facilities management, preferably in a similar caretaker role
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance procedures is an added advantage
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
- Proactive in identifying and solving maintenance-related problems
