Cleaner – Commercial Building

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all common areas, including corridors, staircases, lobbies, washrooms, and external walkways.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize designated areas according to the cleaning schedule.
• Clean and disinfect washrooms, ensuring adequate supply of soap, tissue, and other consumables.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of garbage in designated collection points.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock levels to the supervisor.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and other fixtures as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas, including entrances and parking surroundings.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, safety hazards, or suspicious activities promptly.
• Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Assist in deep cleaning and special cleaning assignments as required.
• Support the property management team in maintaining a clean, professional, and tenant-friendly environment.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Property Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in commercial, office, or institutional cleaning.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning duties.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Honest, dependable, and of high integrity.
