Client: A pharmaceutical company based in Nairobi, Kenya
JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will support the parenteral and hospital nutrition portfolio. The role will focus on clinical engagement, scientific education, and hospital conversion by building strong relationships with healthcare professionals. The candidate will also coordinate and deliver CME programs across hospitals to raise awareness and adoption of evidence based nutritional therapies.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a scientific resource on parenteral and enteral nutrition therapies, providing expert consultations to doctors, dietitians, pharmacists, and KOLs.
- Conduct product discussions, nutritional consultations, and engage healthcare professionals to drive clinical adoption.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate CME programs in hospitals and medical colleges.
- Represent the company in clinical sessions and workshops as a speaker, moderator, or facilitator
- Develop and deliver evidence-based content, scientific tools, and educational materials for both HCPs and internal teams
- Provide clinical and product training to sales teams, distributors, and hospital staff.
- Collect clinical feedback and market insights to support product positioning, conversion strategies, and identification of emerging nutrition needs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of science in Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or Applied Human Nutrition;
- 2–5 years’ experience in a hospital or pharma clinical nutrition role;
- Kenya Nutritionists & Dieticians Institute (KNDI) registration preferred;
- Practical knowledge of parenteral/enteral nutrition, ICU nutrition, and disease-specific nutritional support;
- Strong communication and public speaking ability (for Continuing Medical Education and hospital education);
- Clinical aptitude with ability to translate data into practice;
- Relationship management with HCPs and hospital stakeholders;
- Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and scientific referencing tools;
- Willingness to travel within the region for field and hospital activities.
