Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's commercial and business development strategy.
  • Identify, pursue and secure high-value ICT and ELV projects across multiple sectors.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with developers, consultants, contractors, hotel groups, healthcare institutions, corporates and key stakeholders.
  • Lead negotiations for major contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Review, challenge and approve technical and commercial proposals before submission.
  • Work closely with engineering, design and project teams to develop winning solutions for clients.
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to project award.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with technology vendors and key industry players.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and emerging technologies.
  • Drive achievement of ambitious revenue and profitability targets.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the commercial and business development team.
  • Represent the company during executive meetings, industry forums and client presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, ICT, Telecommunications, Business, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in business development, commercial management or strategic sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience selling integrated ICT, ELV, Security, Audio Visual, Networking or Building Technologies solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in securing and managing large commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of tendering, pricing strategies, contract negotiations and commercial risk management.
  • Ability to interpret technical designs, specifications and Bills of Quantities.
  • Excellent financial and commercial acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of project costing, margins and profitability.
  • Extensive network within the construction, hospitality, healthcare, ICT or engineering sectors is an added advantage.
  • Outstanding negotiation, leadership, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
