Key Responsibilities
• Develop and own the overall content strategy, including content pillars, tone, visual identity, and long-term brand direction.
• Identify stories and content opportunities within day-to-day activities, conversations, meetings, and current affairs.
• Translate everyday business activity and moments into authentic, strategically aligned content.
• Personally shoot all photography and videography for planned and spontaneous content, without routinely relying on external crew.
• Plan and set up shoots independently, including locations, equipment, lighting, and audio.
• Edit all captured footage and images to a high standard, ensuring every final product reflects the intended tone and message.
• Manage content planning, production, and publishing across TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
• Build and maintain a rolling content calendar aligned with key events, engagements, and priorities.
• Optimize content for each platform, including hooks, titles, keywords, thumbnails, and formats suited to native audience behaviour.
• Monitor performance and analytics, using data to continuously refine creative approach and platform strategy.
• Act as a hands-on creative partner, comfortable pushing back, proposing stronger angles, and protecting consistency and craft across all output.
• Maintain the highest standards of discretion, judgment, and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential material.
• Bring in specialist freelance support only on the rare occasion a production genuinely requires it.
• Maintain an organized, well-labelled archive of raw footage, photography, and finished assets for future use.
• Stay ahead of platform updates, cultural trends, and digital storytelling formats, adapting strategy proactively rather than reactively.
• Prepare short recaps or reports tracking growth, audience sentiment, and content performance over time.
• Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, including captions, visual style, and tone of voice.
• Anticipate and flag any reputational or sensitivity risks in content before it is published.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Film, Media Studies, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in content creation, video production, or creative direction, ideally supporting a personal or corporate brand.
• Demonstrable portfolio or showreel showing clear examples of audience growth driven by storytelling rather than volume or trend-chasing.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
• Proven hands-on experience personally shooting and directing content, including camera operation, lighting, and audio setup.
• Comfortable working in an environment that requires a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
• Background in documentary filmmaking, journalism, creative agencies, or corporate communications is an added advantage.
