Job Description:
As the Data Scientist (DS), you will utilize your analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets from various sources to deliver and automate actionable insights across the organization. We are a cloud-first data-driven organization. Our data stack includes AWS big-data managed services, PowerBI, and CommCare.

The position is responsible for building, maintaining, and automating our entire data ecosystem. You will implement a robust and agile data pipeline to improve data reliability and quality across the organization. You will monitor and ensure the consistency of our data from end to end, implementing a data architecture that enables seamless data extraction and transformation for predictive and prescriptive modeling.

The role is a critical resource in strengthening our Data & Analytics function. You will work closely with the DIS to identify opportunities to leverage data strategically to solve business problems, including implementing a web-based interactive KPI dashboard to democratize access to real-time business insights for all users across the organization.
You will participate as a member of the IT management team in planning, problem resolution, and reviewing KPIs.

The ideal candidate should be an excellent collaborator, able to work proactively with business users to build reports and dashboards to solve business questions with data. They should have excellent technical skillsets and have experience working across business, product, and technology teams to achieve tangible data-driven results.

Primary Work Responsibilities:
• Implement a robust and agile data pipeline on AWS to improve data consistency, reliability, and quality.
• Develop, implement and maintain various databases and data visualization dashboards & reports
• Clean, aggregate, and organize data from disparate sources and transfer it to AWS data warehouses.
• Generate information and insights from data sets to identify trends and patterns impacting business outcomes
• Design data modeling processes to create algorithms and predictive models and perform custom analysis.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Build predictive modeling to enhance actionable insights on our KPI dashboards.

Key Skills and Attributes:
• Solid understanding of AWS big-data managed services.
• Excellent knowledge of self-service portals and mobile app technology.
• Exceptional data visualization skills using QuickSight and PowerBI
• Strong understanding of statistical and data mining techniques
• Proficient in querying databases and using statistical languages such as R and Python

Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
• Experience designing and implementing big-data architectures on AWS
• Knowledge of a variety of AI/ML techniques, advanced statistical techniques, and concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
