- Operate a 6-wheel Canter truck safely and efficiently.
- Transport goods to designated destinations within Kiambu and surrounding areas.
- Ensure safe loading and offloading of goods to prevent damage.
- Adhere to traffic laws, NTSA regulations, and company driving policies.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after trips (brakes, tires, lights, oil, coolant, etc.).
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle (interior and exterior).
- Report mechanical issues or damages promptly to management.
- Ensure vehicle documents (insurance, inspection, license) are valid and up to date.
- Verify delivery notes and invoices before dispatch.
- Obtain delivery confirmations and signatures from clients.
- Maintain accurate trip records including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery timelines.
- Return all signed documentation to the office promptly.
- Follow company safety procedures at all times.
- Avoid overloading and ensure proper cargo securing.
- Observe defensive driving techniques.
- Maintain professional conduct when interacting with clients and the public.
- Valid Kenyan Driving License (Class BCE or relevant category).
- Minimum 4 years of driving experience.
- Proven experience driving Canter trucks (6-wheel).
- Good knowledge of Kiambu and surrounding routes.
- Clean driving record (no major traffic violations).
- Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
