IMPORT AND EXPORT COORDINATOR

The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking shipments, monitoring due dates for statutory payments, and updating registers and records to ensure accuracy and compliance. They will maintain organized filing systems and ensure adherence to evolving import/export legislation, audit requirements, and industry-specific standards.

In addition, the coordinator will:

• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs officials, and internal production teams to guarantee timely delivery of raw materials and packaging inputs.

• Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements specific to plastics and flexible packaging.

• Monitor cost efficiency in logistics and customs clearance to support competitive manufacturing operations.

• Provide regular reports to management on shipment status, tax obligations, and compliance risks.

• Support audits and inspections by maintaining transparent, well-documented records.

Qualifications & Skills

• Over 10 years’ experience in import/export coordination within manufacturing (plastics/packaging preferred).

• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international trade laws, and taxation.

• Ability to track shipments, monitor due dates for duties and taxes, and maintain accurate records.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in documentation management and shipment tracking systems.

• Familiarity with compliance requirements in the plastics industry, including environmental and safety standards.
