With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. About the Role

You will manage and oversees the operations of their warehouse. You will oversee the efficient and safe receipt, storage, retrieval and dispatch of several products. You will ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and the stock within it. You are expected to ensure warehouse operation targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. You will report to the Regional Coordinator.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a warehouse in compliance with One Acre Fund policies and vision.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
  • Set up the layout and ensure efficient space utilization in the warehouse.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the warehouse.
  • Manage stock and reconcile live inventory with a data storage system (SAP).
  • Recruit, train, coach and motivate the warehouse’s casual labour workforce.
  • Act as liaison between One Acre Fund and NCPB Depot.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • A mimimum of a Diploma in logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
  • 2 years of experience in Warehousing or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and database.
  • A leader who can manage other staff (1 assistant and casual).
  • General knowledge of warehouse management best practices.
  • Use different G-Suites like Google sheets in your daily mandate
