Job Description/Requirements
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Direct Reports: None
Internal Relationships: Quality Control and Assurance, Engineering, PPC, Production, HSE, HR and Admin, Engineering Stores, Warehouse
External Relationships: Suppliers, Vendors, Regulatory Authorities
Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning:
Leverages the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance programs for GZI's production and ancillary machines.
Creates and updates maintenance schedules, checklists, plans, and budgets in line with maintenance policies, OEM recommendations, and historical information.
Gathers necessary engineering or technical documents, specifications, and drawings required for maintenance activities.
Liaises with the Tool Room and Inker Room to ensure all parts and equipment required for maintenance activities are available and in good condition.
Assists in developing a stocking plan for maintenance parts, supplies, materials, and recommended inventory levels.
Follows up with production and maintenance teams to ensure maintenance jobs are completed on time and within budget.
Ensures accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance activities.
Generates production and maintenance reports (from CMMS) in appropriate formats, in line with ISO and GZI documentation standards.
Identifies and generates Standard Operating Procedures for production and maintenance activities in line with Integrated Management System requirements and GZI's goals.
Identifies and advises Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations units of critical and continuing maintenance problems to aid Capital Planning within GZI.
Prepares weekly/monthly/yearly plant performance reports.
Maintains monthly report formats consolidated for all departments.
Provides a central source of information concerning maintenance works, equipment, and equipment repair.
Health, Safety and Environment:
Ensures all maintenance plans and programs comply with applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Promotes safety culture in the Maintenance team and ensures required training, PPE, and safety tools are provided by the HSE department to ensure safe maintenance activities.
Job Requirements:
Required Education:
Minimum of a First Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of work experience, 3 of which must be in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
