Medical Consumable Sales Executive

Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking a Medical Consumable Sales Executive with a background in the medical or healthcare field. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling medical consumables and supplies (e.g., disposables, reagents, consumable kits) to healthcare providers and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
• Identify, prospect, and build relationships with potential customers (hospitals, clinics, labs, pharmacies) to generate sales leads for consumables.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet/exceed sales targets and expand market share for consumables.
• Present products to customers, explain features and benefits, and handle queries regarding product usage or compatibility.
• Manage customer accounts: process orders/quotations, follow-up on deliveries, ensure timely supply and invoice settlements.
• Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to recommend new products or adjustments.
• Support marketing efforts: product promotions, demos, educational visits or training to customers where necessary (especially for kits or specialized consumables).
Qualifications
✓ Diploma or degree in a relevant field (Biomedical, Health Sciences, Pharmacy).
✓ Prior sales experience in the healthcare or medical consumable industry is strongly preferred.
✓ Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and customer-service skills.
✓ Familiarity with healthcare settings (hospitals, labs, clinics) and understanding of medical consumables usage.
✓ Ability to manage multiple clients/accounts, sales orders, and follow-up.
✓ Willingness to travel to customer sites across Kenya.
