DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Childcare and Supervision
Provide attentive care to children, including infants, toddlers, or older children, depending on the family’s needs.
Ensure a safe environment at all times, preventing accidents and responding calmly to emergencies.
Support emotional and social development by offering comfort, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.
Nutrition and Meal Support
Prepare balanced, nutritious meals and snacks according to the children’s dietary requirements.
Assist with feeding, including bottle-feeding infants or helping toddlers and young children eat independently.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in eating areas and kitchen utensils used by the children.
Learning and Play Activities
Organize and engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, games, and creative play.
Read to children, help with basic homework, and stimulate curiosity and learning in a fun and interactive way.
Encourage positive social interaction with siblings, peers, and other children.
Hygiene and Household Maintenance
Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming children.
Keep children’s rooms, play areas, and belongings clean, organized, and safe.
Ensure proper laundry, including children’s clothes, bedding, and towels.
Communication and Coordination with Parents
Maintain open communication with parents regarding children’s routines, milestones, and any concerns.
Follow instructions regarding discipline, routines, and family preferences.
Report any accidents, health issues, or behavioral concerns promptly.
Outings and Activities
Occasionally accompany children on walks, appointments, or recreational activities while ensuring safety.
Plan and implement outdoor play that encourages physical development.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Certificate or relevant training in Childcare, Early Childhood Development, or a related field.
Proven experience working as a nanny or in childcare roles is highly desirable.
Knowledge of child safety, hygiene, and first aid is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Patient, compassionate, and attentive to children’s emotional and physical needs.
Ability to manage multiple children and adapt to changing routines.
Trustworthy, reliable, and punctual with strong references.
