Job Summary
You will be responsible for delivering 4-star food and beverage service to local and international guests, ensuring high hospitality standards, prompt service, and strict compliance with local health regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Welcome guests, present menus, explain daily specials, and take accurate orders using the POS system.
- Service Delivery: Serve meals and drinks efficiently according to 4-star fine dining standards, handle special dietary requests, and upsell menu items.
- Table & Station Care: Set up tables, restock service stations (mise-en-place), and clear dishes promptly to maintain a clean dining environment.
- Billing & Payments: Process accurate bills, accept cash/card payments, charge room accounts, and balance sales at the end of shifts.
- Hygiene & Compliance: Maintain strict personal hygiene and adhere to County Food Safety standards.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Certificate or Diploma in Food & Beverage Service / Hospitality.
- Experience: Six months minimum F&B service experience in a 3- or 4-star hotel or high-end restaurant.
- Certification: Valid County Food Handlers Certificate.
Core Skills
- Excellent communication in English and Kiswahili (additional languages a plus).
- Proficiency in hospitality POS systems (e.g., Micros).
- Knowledge of local and international cuisine, beverages, and table etiquette.
- Neat grooming, strong interpersonal skills, and physical stamina for long shifts.
