Nursing Services Manager
Job summary
Healthpact Hospital, a fast-growing healthcare provider in Isiolo County, is recruiting a competent and visionary Nursing Services Manager to lead its nursing department. This is a senior-level position reporting to the General Manager and playing a key role in the hospital’s strategic plan to offer world-class maternity and general nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of nursing services across all departments (wards, maternity, outpatient, theatre, etc.).
- Develop and implement nursing policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and clinical guidelines in line with regulatory and quality standards.
- Lead initiatives to improve nursing quality indicators, patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and infection prevention and control
- Supervise, mentor, and appraise nurse in-charges and frontline nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
- Work closely with medical officers, specialists, and departmental heads to ensure integrated patient care and smooth interdepartmental collaboration.
- Ensure adequate staffing, equitable scheduling, and effective deployment of nurses based on workload and patient acuity.
- Champion the delivery of respectful, skilled, and client-centered maternity services, with the goal of making Healthpact Hospital the Maternity of Choice in Isiolo County.
- Coordinate and support ongoing training, CME sessions, mentorship, and skills development for all nursing cadres.
- Oversee nursing supplies, consumables, and equipment to ensure availability and cost-effective utilization.
- Participate in hospital-wide committees such as Quality Assurance, Infection Control, and Clinical Governance.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution with at least 10 years of progressive experience, including 5 years in a senior supervisory role.
- ❖Candidates with additional training in healthcare management or maternal health will have an added advantage.

- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BScN) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a nursing leadership position
- Must be registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Demonstrated expertise in maternal and newborn health, including labor, delivery, obstetric emergencies, and postnatal care.
- Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
- Experience in quality assurance, audits, and nursing performance monitoring will be an added advantage.
