ORTHOPAEDIC TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the assessment and management of orthopedic patients
• Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, braces, traction equipment, and other orthopedic appliances as directed
• Support orthopedic procedures and rehabilitation programs
• Prepare patients and equipment for orthopedic treatments and procedures
• Monitor patient progress and report any concerns to the supervising medical team
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure proper cleaning, handling, and maintenance of orthopedic equipment and supplies
• Educate patients on the care and use of orthopedic appliances and rehabilitation exercises
• Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum qualification must be a Certificate in Orthopedic Technology/Orthopedic from a recognized institution
• Relevant working experience in an orthopedic or hospital setting will be an added advantage
• Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality healthcare service delivery
