Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and customer-focused Pharmaceutical Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in dispensing medications, providing expert health and skincare advice, and ensuring efficient pharmacy operations. This role also involves inventory management — including monitoring stock movement, setting and maintaining reorder levels, and ensuring product availability at all times.

Location: Nairobi
Reports To: Shop Manager
Key Responsibilities
Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications in line with professional and regulatory standards.
Counsel customers on the correct use of medications, potential side effects, and general health matters.
Verify prescriptions for completeness and authenticity before dispensing.
Maintain up-to-date records of prescriptions, inventory, and daily sales in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor stock levels regularly and ensure timely reordering of medicines and supplies based on set reorder levels and consumption trends.
Conduct stock audits, manage expiries, and ensure proper storage and labelling of all pharmaceutical products.
Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system efficiently and ensure accurate billing and cash handling.
Deliver professional, courteous, and confidential customer service at all times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
Support the shop manager in other administrative and operational duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
Valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail pharmacyy.
Sound knowledge of prescription medications, dosages, and contraindications.
Proficiency in stock handling; inventory management, tracking expiries and proper shelf arrangement
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to professional ethics.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy retail environment.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and POS systems.
Able to work in both day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
