Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) was established under the Sacco Societies Act, CAP B with a mandate to license, regulate and supervise the Sacco Sector in Kenya. The Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency under the Ministry of Co-operative, Development and Marketing. It is a creation of the Sacco Societies Act and was inaugurated in charged with the prime responsibility to licence and supervise Deposit Taking Sacco Societies in Kenya. The establishment of SASRA falls within the Government of Kenya’s reform process in the financial sector which has the dual objectives of protecting the interests of Sacco members and ensuring that there is confidence in the public towards the Sacco sector and spurring Kenya’s economic growth through the mobilization of domestic savings.

ROLE SUMMARY
The job holder will be answerable to the Manager Research Strategy and Planning for the performance of his/her duties. The successful candidate will support and assist the Planning Department in the development, implementation and monitoring of the of the Authority’s Strategic plans to ensure achievement of corporate goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Participating in developing policies in Sacco Industry. Collecting quarterly and annual performance data of the Industry. Updating and maintaining a record of all performance contract evidence in the Authority. Drafting proposals for resource mobilization. Participating in the development of the Authority’s internal polies; and Participating in the preparation and implementation of the Authority’s Performance Contracts.JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in economics, Sociology, Strategic Management, Public Administration, Project Management or related disciplines. Proficiency in computer applications; and Demonstrated professional competence in work performance.Important Safety Tips
