PROCUREMENT ANALYST

Summary
You will serve as a PROCUREMENT ANALYST in the Procurement Management Assessment Program (PMAP) of NAVAL FACILITIES INSTITUTE. The primary duty station for this position is Port Hueneme, CA. An alternative duty station may be considered, as approved by Human Resources Office (HRO), if suitable office space is available at a CONUS NAVFAC duty station.
Duties
You will apply knowledge of contracting principles, laws, regulations and procedures, as well as general knowledge of the Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC).You will Assist the Director of Procurement Management and Assessment Program (PMAP) with programmatic assessments and policy/procurement reviews and implementation.You will apply knowledge of Contracting Community Management practices and the NAVFAC Contracting Community Management Plan to include DAWIA policies, regulation, and practices as related to the Contracting career Field.You will lead a team of professional towards achieving procurement objectives.You will analyze and evaluates procurement documents to ensure compliance and established acquisition regulations.

Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for Contracting Positions: A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. NOTE: The education requirement listed above applies only to individuals entering DoD GS-1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000. Current civilian personnel in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent) 1102 or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement.
