Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as cips, kism, or equivalent are an added advantage.
- Proficiency in ms office (especially excel) and erp or procurement software systems.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

- Experience in tendering processes, contract administration, and supplier negotiation.
Salary: Kshs. 60,000 - 80,000 plus company benefits
Duties/responsibilities:
- Procurement associate will support the companys procurement and logistics operations.
- He/she will help drive cost-effective sourcing, inventory control, vendor coordination, and process efficiency across the organization by performing the following responsibilities:- procurement process coordination: Prepare procurement documents including requests for quotation (rfqs), invitations to bid (itb), and requests for proposal (rfps), and coordinate their timely dispatch to suppliers. Maintain up-to-date procurement documentation, manuals, supplier lists, tender records, and reference files.
- Receive approved requisitions and process appropriate documentation for local or international purchases, services, or contracts.
- Route, copy, and circulate quotations, bids, and proposals for evaluation by relevant internal committees.
- Conduct research on competitive pricing, market trends, and potential new suppliers to support cost-saving initiatives.
- Draft and assist in negotiating supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Vendor & stakeholder engagement: Liaise with suppliers to ensure availability of accurate product or service information, updated pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with selected bidders to complete required administrative processes including bid securities, contract awards, and distribution of contract documents.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, contractors, transporters, distributors, and other third-party service providers.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and rationalizing key supplier agreements to improve efficiency.
- Logistics, inventory & distribution support: Support development and execution of logistics plans to ensure cost effective and timely distribution of goods.
- Assist with inventory management activities, including monitoring stock movements, updating inventory records, and preparing stock reports.
- Track and coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Maintain proper documentation for all logistics activities to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Reporting, compliance & administration: Prepare procurement and statistical reports including supplier comparisons, tender summaries, and procurement activity updates.
- Maintain accurate records to support audits, accountability, and adherence to procurement policies and systems.
- Ensure procurement and logistics operations comply with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Support cross departmental communication, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of procurement progress and logistics schedules.
