Job Summary
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize sourcing, supplier selection, and cost efficiency. This role involves supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, vendor management, and ensuring timely delivery of quality goods and services. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and experience in procurement or supply chain management.

Job Description/Requirements
- Develop and propose for implementation procurement strategies to optimize sourcing and supplier selection processes.
- Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms.
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to procurement procedures and standards through creating awareness to the users on the processes to be followed.
- Ensure availability of quality goods and services ordered and prompt delivery of the same to the user through timely processing of the requisitions placed.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as production, finance, and operations, to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor information.
- In liaison with the Stores Clerk/manager Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- In Liaison with the Various Estate managers, Deputy General Managers and Finance Departments identify and advise assets that need to be Disposed and share the List with Group Procurement office for action.
- In Liaison with the Manager - Environmental, health and safety Compliance identify General waste that needs to be disposed Sustainably including scrap metals and paper waste.
- Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
