.The Project Manager acts as the primary
liaison between clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors,and
internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer
satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Establish project execution methodologies and implementation strategies.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across East Africa.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
• Coordinate all project activities from initiation through commissioning and handover.
2. Client Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct project kick-off meetings and regular progress reviews.
• Manage customer expectations and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
• Address client concerns, escalations, and change requests professionally.
• Prepare and present project status reports to clients and stakeholders.
3. Technical Coordination
• Work closely with engineering, network, security, software, and technical support teams.
• Review technical designs, implementation plans, and project documentation.
• Coordinate integration of systems including:

4. Financial Management
• Develop project budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Track project costs, revenue recognition, profitability, and cash flow.
• Review supplier quotations and subcontractor costs.
• Manage project invoicing milestones and payment collections.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
5. Contract Administration
• Review project contracts and identify risks.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Manage project variations, claims, extensions of time, and change orders.
• Coordinate procurement and subcontract agreements.
• Maintain proper project records and contractual documentation.
6. Resource Management
• Assign and supervise project engineers, technicians, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor workforce productivity and performance.
• Coordinate travel and deployment of regional project teams.
• Ensure proper utilization of company resources.
7. Risk Management
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Maintain project risk registers.
• Monitor issues affecting project schedules, budgets, and quality.
• Implement corrective actions when required.
• Escalate critical issues to management.
8. Quality Assurance
• Ensure projects comply with company quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Verify testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure project documentation and as-built drawings are complete.
• Oversee project acceptance and final handover.
9. Health, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and client requirements.
• Enforce safe working practices on project sites.
• Conduct risk assessments and toolbox meetings.
• Ensure compliance with ICT, electrical, and construction regulations in East African markets.
10. Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
• Maintain project schedules and dashboards.
• Document lessons learned and project closure reports.
• Ensure proper filing of:

• Minimum 5–8 years of project management experience.
• Minimum 3 years managing systems integration projects.
• Experience delivering projects across East Africa.
• Proven experience managing projects valued between USD 100,000 and USD 10 Million.
• Experience dealing with government agencies, airports, ports, utilities, financial institutions,and enterprise customers.
