Job Summary

The Auto Spare Parts Specialist is responsible for accurately identifying, sourcing, pricing, and supplying the correct automotive spare parts to customers and workshop technicians. The role requires strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, excellent customer service, and the ability to maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely availability of quality parts.


Key Responsibilities

· Accurately identify automotive spare parts using VIN, chassis numbers, EPCs, and parts catalogues.

· Advise customers and technicians on the correct parts and suitable alternatives.

· Prepare accurate quotations and process customer orders.

· Source parts from local and international suppliers while negotiating competitive prices.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

· Monitor market trends, pricing, and product availability.

· Resolve customer complaints, warranty claims, and incorrect parts issues.

· Work closely with the workshop to ensure timely supply of parts and minimize vehicle downtime.

· Achieve monthly sales and gross profit targets.

· Stay updated on new vehicle models, parts, and automotive technologies.


Qualifications & Requirements

· Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.

· Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive spare parts sales, parts sourcing, or parts management.

· Strong knowledge of automotive systems and spare parts for Japanese, European, and Korean vehicles.

· Proficiency in using Electronic Parts Catalogues (EPCs), VIN/chassis lookup systems, and inventory management software.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory/ERP systems.

· Ability to work with the team, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure.

· Willingness to relocate to Kampala, Uganda.
